Translation

No. 15. Johann Heinrich Rickmann of Ahrenfeld and Catharina Maria Grünewald: a son, born 15 May [1777], baptized the 18th[?], named Johann Friedrich Christian.

Notes

Correction: entry 15 is a son, Johann Friedrich Christian, not a possible Dorothea Louise. The 'Genannt Sophia Louisa Amalia' line above it belongs to entry 14 (Johann Jürgen Volmer[?] and Johanna Elisabeth Peermann).

The mother's surname reads Grünewald here; the 1773 marriage was first read 'Cath. Maria Gr[imme?] aus Weensen'. The same couple, probable.

Dorothea Louise Rickmann (Conrad Wesemann's wife) is not found in the Oldendorf baptisms 1773–1781.

Conventions: text in square brackets is editorial. [?] marks an uncertain reading, […] an illegible or unread word. Spelling, abbreviation and capitalization follow the original.

Transcribed 9 October 2026 from the image file(s) named above. Readings in brackets are drafts to be confirmed on the original before they are cited as stated.
