Reitter Family

Nicholas Reitter, Jr., who married Ruth Esther Wesemann in 1929, was the son of German-speaking immigrants from the Banat, in the old Kingdom of Hungary. His father, Nicholas Reitter, Sr., came to Philadelphia in 1903, worked as a wagon blacksmith, and spent most of his life on a farm in Nockamixon Township, Bucks County. These pages follow the family from two Banat villages to America and through Nicholas Sr.’s three marriages.
