English translation
No. 25. Barbara, little daughter of Herr Johann Legat, citizen and tailor here, and of his mother Katharina Dorothea, née Wunderlich, of Kirchenlamitz; born on 3 November at 11 a.m., baptized the following day. Witness: Barbara Müller, wife of Johann Müller, citizen and locksmith here. Fee 2 groschen 8 pfennig. Margin, later hand: "2 March 1884".
Notes. The margin date is the day of death in the burial of Barbara Knoll, butcher's widow, 1884 (212132 Bild 192), whose entry gives her birth as 3 November 1804. PROBABLE that this child is Barbara Legat, eldest daughter of the master tailor Johann Legat, mother of Johann Erhard (10 June 1826) and wife of Georg Knoll (4 April 1830): surname, father and trade, town, her parents' marriage of 22 September 1803, her age of 21 in 1826, and no other Barbara Legat in 1804–1805. No other Legat entry and no Knoll in Bild 307–319 (1804 nos. 1–15 on Bild 304–306 not read); 1804 no. 21 is an unrelated Johann Wunderlich family. Image to save: Bild 310 (foot of the right page with the margin note) and Bild 311 (top of the right page).
