Transcription (German, as read)

"29. | Knoll, Georg | Metzger, ev. prot. [a word struck out above "prot."] | H. N. 27 | Verheir. [doubtful: first letter V or W] | Altersschwäche | Mittwoch (15) fünfzehnten Juni, früh ½ 4 Uhr | Freitag siebzehnten Juni, Nachm. 2 Uhr | 71 J. [doubtful: first digit] | [officiating column empty] | Grabrecht."

The age's first digit is angular with a short top bar and a downstroke, no loop, unlike the clerk's looped 8 in "28 J." of entry 28 (an earlier reading "81 J." corrected on re-read).

Index (Bild 5): "Knoll, Georg … 75"; no other Knoll. Neighbours: no. 28 "Lönicker, Mary" (Dienstmagd, ledig, H. N. 39, "28 J."); no. 31 "Glaser(?)" (H. N. 6, "24 J. 9 Mth 23 T.").

English translation

No. 29. Knoll, Georg; butcher, Evangelical Protestant; house no. 27; married [doubtful]; cause of death: weakness of old age; died Wednesday 15 June, at half past 3 in the morning; buried Friday 17 June, at 2 in the afternoon; aged 71; grave right ("Grabrecht").

Notes. 15 June 1870 was a Wednesday and 17 June a Friday; the year is the page heading. Born about 1798–1799, which fits the baptism of 6 November 1798. PROBABLE that he is Johann Georg Knoll, husband of Barbara Legat and legal father of Johann Erhard (John E. Knoll): same trade and town, one Georg Knoll in the index (which covers about 1866–1883), and Barbara a "Metzgerswittwe" in 1884. Not PROVEN: the entry names no wife, children or parents. The status cell favours "verheirathet" at 6x (PROBABLE). House no. 27 against no. 63 (1826, 1833) and no. 150 (1884): open. Image to save: Bild 66 (entry 29 across both halves; the age cell beside entry 28) and Bild 5 (index).
