English translation
No. 33. Johann Georg, son of Christian [or Christoph] David Knoll, tailor and resident here, and of his mother Maria Catharina, née Baumgärtlein [doubtful], of Schwarzenbach an der Saale; born in wedlock on 6 November at 7 in the morning, baptized ("reborn") the following day. Witness, godfather: Johann Georg Pahl [doubtful], citizen and butcher at Schwarzenbach [an der Saale].
Notes. The parents are the couple of the 1790 and 1791 baptisms (Catharina Margaretha, Margaretha Kunigunda; PROBABLE one couple). PROBABLE that this is the Johann Georg Knoll, journeyman butcher and only son of David Christian Knoll, journeyman tailor, who married Barbara Legat on 4 April 1830 (forename, surname, town and the father's trade agree; the father's forenames are reversed in 1830). The godfather, a butcher of the mother's town, is probably a relative of hers (surname not settled). No other son of the couple in the baptisms read, January 1788 – November 1798.
