Translation (English)

No. 24. On the 30th of this month [November 1749] Franz Henrich Brand of Linse [had] his wife buried, who died of a chest fever (after a relapse [?] of 24 weeks); aged 42.

Notes

Read twice at 4x, clear hand. The wife's forename is not written. "Umschlag" is doubtful. The month follows from nos. 21–23 (23 October, 9 and 20 November). Born about 1707. Probably Anna Marie of Tuchtfeld, whom Franz Heinrich Brand married on 25 September 1731 (F372): no third marriage of his is on file. Next entry, no. 25 (7 December 1749), a Linse shoemaker's wife, aged 39.

Addendum: F445; F372.

Grade: Stated (draft read); the identity probable.
