Translation (English)
3\. Linse, on 25 January […] at 4 in the morning, died Frau Marie Eleonore née Küster, surviving widow of the late Joh. Wilh. von Kampen, formerly burgher and brewer at Salzhemmendorf, of dropsy and tightness of the chest, in the Mittelmühle, where her daughter is married to the miller Wäsemann [Wesemann]; she was buried on the 28th of the same month, aged 58 years.
(Born at Wallensen in 1727; her father Aug. Wilh. Küster, formerly Consul [a town magistrate] and Advocate at Salzhemmendorf; her mother Clara Emerentia Telg[…]mann[?].)
Notes
She is Maria Eleonora Küster, who married Johann Wilhelm von Campe at Salzhemmendorf on 28 August 1749 (D04), mother of Clara Christina Maria (Christine), the miller's first wife, and the "Kampen widow" at the Mittelmühle in June 1774 (D06).
The bracketed note is the Halle clerk's statement, about 58 years after her birth, not a baptism. The Wallensen books on Archion (200201; the typed copy 200237) hold no baptisms between 1677 and 1732, so it cannot be checked there.
Readings to check on the image: the mother's surname (Telgmann, Telgen, Telgemann), the words "Consul u. Adv.", and the weekday after the date (25 January 1785 was a Tuesday).
Grade: Stated (death, burial, age; her daughter married to the miller Wäsemann). Birthplace and parents stated by the clerk. Draft reading.
