Translation

No. 5. On 7 April died the burgher Friedrich Wasmann, aged 72, and was buried on the 10th [1809].

Notes

  • Aged 72, he was born about 1737: the same generation as the miller Johann Heinrich Wesemann (died 1801, about 65).
  • Confirmed as Friedrich by his widow’s burial in 1820 (Bild 148).

Conventions: text in square brackets is editorial. [?] marks an uncertain reading, [...] an illegible word, and a struck word is shown as ~~struck~~. Spelling, abbreviation and capitalization follow the original. Ditto marks are shown as “do” or [ditto] with the value they carry in brackets.

Transcribed 8 October 2026 from the PDF image or text layer. Readings in brackets are drafts to be confirmed on the original before they are cited as stated.
