Translation (English)

On 26 July [1732], Eleonora Sand[?], [… ?] the Mittelmüllerin at Linse [servant? ("ge-" + a verb)], … and having let herself be [lain with?] by Hans Hinrich Wasman, a soldier of the Halle [garrison?], [bore] a son. Sponsors are Johan Friederich Langen, a corporal [quartered at …?]; likewise Johan Gerhard [Küll/Kill?], Mittelmüller; and Trine Margaretha Wasmann of Halle. Name: Johan Friederich.

Notes

"Mittelmüllerin zu Linse" is certain at the largest step; whether she is the mother or the mother's employer is not decided (the stretch after the mother's name is unread). The formula "sich von … [beschlafen?] laßen" is that of an illegitimate birth (PROBABLE). The father is a soldier of the Halle garrison, not a miller. Three sponsors, not two: the second is a Mittelmüller, Johan Gerhard [Küll/Kill?] (POSSIBLE kin of the Kilen of 1728 or the Knüll millers, whose Johann Gevert/Gebhard Knüll is on file). Not a candidate for Johann Heinrich Wesemann (H10: 1732, Johan Friederich, a garrison soldier's son, Halle in Braunschweig). Grade: STATED (the reading, four doubtful points); the relation of the mother to the mill not settled.
