Beckmann, [ein Sohn] geb. den 27ten Marz Morgens 1 Uhr, getauft d. 10ten Apr., genannt: Heinrich Conrad Ludewig. Caroline Louise [Brammer?, unclear], der hiesige Gutsherr[?] [?] Christian Ludewig Lehmann[?].

English translation: 16. Johann Ernst Wesemann, band-miller here, and his wife Melusine Caroline née Beckmann [had a son] born the 27th of March at 1 in the morning, baptized the 10th of April, named: Heinrich Conrad Ludewig. Godparents: the miller [Conrad] Ludewig [Blühmann?] of [place unclear], [?] Louise [Brünnemann?] of Linden[?], the maiden Caroline Louise [surname unclear], the local [landholder?] [?] Christian Ludewig Lehmann[?].

*Note: core facts (parents, child, dates) match the draft and are confirmed. The godparent names are dense and both the draft's reading ("Reinhard Conrad Zimmermann and Caroline Louise Rüsche") and the alternative above are best-effort; neither is confident enough to treat as settled.

Notes

> Parents, child and dates are confirmed against the archival image. The godparent names are the weakest-legible passage in this register's Wesemann entries; an earlier reading gave "Reinhard Conrad Zimmermann and Caroline Louise Rüsche." Neither reading is settled. > > Johann Ernst Wesemann is a Bodenwerder band-miller, not a Linse or Thran miller. This household belongs to the Bodenwerder branch.
