The record

Landeskirchliches Archiv der Evang.-luth. Landeskirche Hannovers, Kirchenkreis Bodenwerder, Linse, Kirchenbuch 1815-1853, Bild 12 (archion.de). Archion register 390716.

Only entries involving the Wesemann/Wasmann surname are included below. Uncertain readings are marked (?). Read directly from the archival scan for this file; the project's prior pass on this image recorded the godparent line only, in summary, without a German transcription.

English

3\. Father: Ludewig Meyer, master tailor (Schneidermeister). Mother: Justina Maria, aged thirty-seven. Birth: the thirteenth of December, seven o'clock in the evening. Notes

> The hit is the godparent line. The surname is written Wesemann here, not Waßmann or Waßemann — a full-form spelling in the Linse register thirteen years before the Kemnade baptisms. > > An unmarried Wilhelm Wesemann and an unmarried Wilhelm Halbrodt stand sponsor together, both explicitly aus Linse. That places a Wesemann and a Halbrodt — the two milling surnames the project tracks at Linse — in the same godparent line, side by side, in 1823. > > The father's trade corrects the project's earlier pass, which read Kleinkötner(?). It is Schneidermeister. This is the same Ludewig Meyer, Schneider, named as father of the mother in the 1836/37 illegitimate birth at Bild 24. > > Godparent 1's trade is a best-effort reading. An earlier pass gave Schuhmachermeister(?), which the image does not support; Grobschmied fits the letterforms better but is not settled.
