Transcription (entry 249)

Date and place of birth: June Eighteenth 1874, Esk, Glantane

Name: "Hanorah" or "Hannah" [written over or smudged; doubtful] (the index reads Hanorah)

Sex: Female

Father: Denis Hanlon, Esk, labourer

Mother: Julia Hanlon, formerly Shea

Informant: the mark of Johanna Lyons, present at birth, Esk

When registered: June Twenty second 1874

Registrar: Charles [Hovenden] Roche

On the same page. Entry 241: Hanorah, daughter of Michael Barrett and Margaret Barrett, formerly Finnegan, Glantane: a different family, not the indexed Hanlon.

Notes. Chapter 11 [126] read this index entry's image as "Honorah Barrett," and Closed Paths D8 set the entry aside on that reading: that was entry 241. Entry 249 is the indexed Hanlon, a daughter of Denis Hanlon and Julia Shea, who married at Glantane in 1872 (Marriage_Register_Denis_Hanlon_Julia_Shea_Glantane_1872_Entry_157): PROVEN for her parentage (two records agree).
