Translation

The Donaghmore baptisms of October 1832 to August 1834 hold no Catherine to Daniel Buckley and Honora Dinan. The register does hold their son Darby (October 1832) and a Denis to Timothy and Nelly Hanlon of Rathcoola (about 15 December 1832), so the screen reads both control entries. A Michael was baptized in August 1834 to Denis Hanlon and Joan Connor of Rathcoola, with Jerry Duggan and Peg Hanlon as sponsors.

Notes

Denis Hanlon, son of Timothy and Nelly Hanlon, baptized about 15 December 1832: PROVEN for the register's content. No Catherine to Daniel Buckley and Honora Dinan, October 1832 to August 1834: negative, at most PROBABLE (the left pages are legible; a missed line on a cut-off or smudged line is possible; September–October 1834 not read). Michael, son of Denis Hanlon and Joan Connor, August 1834: PROVEN for the register's content; identity with the household of Denis Hanlon and Joan (Johanna) Connor of Rathcoola: POSSIBLE (same parents' names and townland; the couple's first child was baptized in May 1808, so a child in 1834 would be a late birth).

This register shows a second Michael to the same two parents' names in August 1834. Either the 1824 and 1834 entries are two children of the same couple (the first Michael having died), the 1834 entry is a different Denis Hanlon and Joan Connor, or one of the two dates is misread. Not resolved; both entries need a second look (new step 2). The Next-Steps description says Darby Buckley was baptized "29 October 1832"; the date cannot be read on this screen (cut off at the margin). Not a conflict; the date is unconfirmed here.
