Viewer page 52, right page, headed "1821 May 16th" with ditto marks for the entries below it (the entry is the eighth of the day): "Jerry of Denis Hanlon & Johanna Connor. Spon[sors] Tim[othy] [T.?] Hanlon & Eliza [Coakley / Corkery?]". Other entries of the same day on the page, for the surrounding context only: "Jerry of Jerry Byrne & Mary Shine"; "John of Denis McCarty & Mary Kelleher"; "Margaret of Robert Barrett & Margaret Buckley"; "Mary of William Goggin & Johanna Kelleher".

Viewer page 84, right page, headed "1824 Aug. 15": the entries of 15 August are "Darby Delohery of Darby & Julia [—]. Spon[sors] Denis Creedan & Cath[arine] Delohery"; "Darby Murphy of Edmond & Mary [—]. Spon[sors] John McCarthy, Mary [Brennan?]"; and a third entry whose child's name reads "Mary Lowney [?]" (parents "Pat[rick] & Mary Corkeran"). No Hanlon child. The following dates on the page (16, 22, 23, 25, 27, 31 August) hold no child of Denis Hanlon either; "Cat[herine] & Mary Hanlon" appear only as sponsors (22 August).

Viewer page 85, right page, first entry, headed "1824 Sep. 21": "Mich[ae]l Hanlon of John & Mary [Shea? the right edge is cut]. Spon[sors] Denis Madden & Cath[arine] Madden".

Film 05004/02, viewer page 42, right page, headed "1834 August 5th", "7", "12th", "13th" and then ditto marks: "[—] of John Brennan & Nancy Hill"; then "Michael of Denis Hanlon & Joan Connor, Rathcoola. Spon[sors] Jerry Duggan & Peg Hanlon". The date column beside it shows a ditto mark, so the date is that of the last dated entry above it, 13 August 1834 (the day is not written for this entry; the next dated entry is 24 August).

FamilySearch index, "Ireland, Catholic Parish Registers, 1740–1900," Michael Hanlon, baptism "15 Aug 1824," Donaghmore; mother Joan Connors, father Denis Hanlon; "Image Unavailable."

Translation

Jeremiah, son of Denis Hanlon and Johanna Connor, was baptized on 16 May 1821, with Timothy Hanlon and Eliza [Coakley?] as sponsors. The date and parents agree with Chapter 11. The sponsor Timothy Hanlon is a new fact from the image (Chapter 11 names a Timothy Hanlon only as a predicted father of Denis).

The register for 15 August 1824 holds no Michael to Denis Hanlon and Joan Connor. The only 1824 Michael Hanlon found is the baptism of 21 September 1824, son of John Hanlon and Mary [Shea?], sponsors Denis and Catherine Madden.

A Michael to Denis Hanlon and Joan Connor of Rathcoola is in the register, but in August 1834, with the ditto-marked date of about 13 August.

Notes

Sponsor Timothy Hanlon: PROVEN for the register's content; his relationship to Denis: THEORY (no document states it; the shared surname and the sponsor role make a kinsman likely). Absence of a Michael to Denis Hanlon and Joan Connor on 15 August 1824: negative within page 84 right page (August 15 to 31), at most PROBABLE (the right edge of the page and the bottom of the left page were not read at the highest zoom). Michael to Denis Hanlon and Joan Connor, 13 August 1834: PROVEN for the register's content; the day is PROBABLE (ditto mark). That the FamilySearch index entry "15 August 1824" is this 1834 baptism with the year (3 read as 2) and the day (13 read as 15) misread: POSSIBLE. Two misreadings are needed, but both digit pairs are easily confused in this hand, and no other Michael to this couple has been found.

The index also leaves Denis (22 December 1823) and Michael (15 August 1824) eight months apart, which cannot be two live births to one mother; this pass removes that impossibility only if the index entry is the 1834 baptism. If so, the nine-child list and its closing year (1829) need the correction "Michael, 1834," and Joan Connor's childbearing years extend to 1834 (she would then have been in her mid-forties; her birth year is not known). Not resolved; Chapter 11 and the nine-child count should not change until the 1824 entry is searched for again in the full 1824 run and the 1834 date is read at the margin. Next-Steps HA1.4 gives the 1824 "[Michl?] Hanlon of John & Mary [Shea?]" entry as September 1824; this pass reads it as "Sep. 21," and the sponsors are Denis Madden and Catherine Madden. No conflict.
