"L'anno milleottocentosessantotto, il giorno quattro Dicembre in Sarno, alle ore [illegible], dinanzi a me Luigi Origo [doubtful] … ufficiale dello stato civile del comune di Sarno, è comparso Raffaele Squitieri fu Alessandro di anni [trentadue?], [occupation illegible], domiciliato in questo comune, Strada San Matteo [doubtful], il quale mi ha presentato un bambino di sesso maschile che dichiara essere nato il giorno suddetto alle ore otto della di lui moglie Grazia Orza fu Daniello [doubtful] di anni [illegible]." Witnesses read as Aniello Manfredonia [doubtful] and Pasquale D'Amico [doubtful]. The name line is cut off in my zoom; the name Emilio is read from the margin.
English translation
On 4 December 1868 at Sarno, Raffaele Squitieri, son of Alessandro, presented a male child born that day at 8 o'clock to his wife Grazia Orza, daughter of Daniello [doubtful]; margin name Emilio.
Notes. The child's forename stands in the margin only; the act number and the father's age are doubtful. The leva list gives the same date (class 1868, "Emilia").
