English Translation
1882. Marriages 1882.
No. 94, 24 October 1882. Charles Knoll, aged 25 years, butcher [?], born and residing in Philadelphia, Pa., and Miss Karolina [or Carolina] Weisz, aged 25 years, born in Ochsenburg, district (Oberamt) of Brackenheim, Württemberg. Witnesses: August and his wife [?] Christiana [?] Reichert; Christian [?] Weisz.
Transcriber's Notes
The copy is a high-contrast, broken-up image of German script; many letters are reconstructed from word shape. Clear or fairly clear: entry no. 94, 'Oct. 24.', 'Charles Knoll', 'alt 25 J.', 'Philadelphia, Pa.', 'Weisz', 'Ochsenburg', 'Brackenheim', 'Württemberg', 'Reichert'.
Groom's occupation (after '25 J.') is uncertain; the word begins with B and resembles 'Butcher' (Latin script).
'Oberamt' is written abbreviated/cramped ('Oberamt' or 'Oberamts'); read as 'Oberamt'.
Only entry no. 94 transcribed (family-entries-only approach applied to this multi-entry register page).
The 1882 register entry (no. 94) appears in four documents in this folder (the marriage record, both 2016 research-note sets, and the compiled booklet). All four transcriptions use one reconciled reading, checked against the sharpest copy.
