DEATH NOTICE

Times1
Days of insertionSat.

Knoll, on Feb. 2, 1940. Charles, husband of the late Caroline Knoll, nee Weiss. Funeral services Monday 2.00 P.M. at John F. Fluehr & Sons 149 W. Susquehanna Av. Int. Greenmount Cem. Viewing Sun. Eve.

Transcriber's Notes

Year of birth is faint and partly cut: read as 1857 [?] (last digit unclear).

Mother's maiden name: 'Caroline' appears to have been written first and struck through (over the printed 'name of mother'); the name reads 'Barbara Wassell [?]' (the given name is written like 'Bulbara'; surname could be Wessell).

Funeral home name in the notice read as 'John F. Fluehr & Sons' (the death certificate has 'Jno F. Fluehr & Sons').

Last line of the notice read as 'Int. Greenmount Cem. Viewing Sun. Eve.'; 'Sun.' re-checked at native resolution 2026-09-27: looped capital S followed by 'un'.
