English
On 5 November, to Gabriel Wilmes(?), cowherd at Dohnsen, a daughter. Godparents: Johann Heinrich Möller; likewise the wife of David Wasmann; and the wife of the smith at Halle(?). Name: Ilse Maria. [Later hand:] Died 22 March 1772 — Sophia Maria.
Notes
> David Wasmann is married by 1724. On Bild 129(1) of 1732 his daughter Maria is old enough to stand godmother, so the marriage runs back to about 1710 at the latest. > > The third sponsor phrase and the smith reference are not secure. Note that Bild 129(1) places a David at the smithy at Dohnsen — whether David Wasmann is himself the smith, or merely lives by it, is unresolved and matters for the occupational picture. > > Second marginal death annotation in this batch, again in a later hand, again from the 1770s.
