Translation (English)

No. 11. Linse, 15 March [1770]. Catharina Eleonore Brand [had] an illegitimate son [baptized], whose father is said to be Caspar Heinrich Brinkmann in Nordhemmern[?] (born 12 March). [Godparents, all of Linse, on p. 50.] Name: Heinrich Christoph.

Notes

  • A Brand woman of Linse; relation to Christoph Brand not yet linked.
  • Name caution: the Halbmeier who married Caroline Charlotte Sporleder in 1804 is 'Heinrich Christoph Brand … sel. Chr. Brands nachgelassener Sohn'. This 1770 child is a different person (mother's son, father Brinkmann).
  • Grade: Stated (draft read).
