Translation (English)

On 7 April Barthol Brandes of Linse [had baptized] a son, born on the [2nd] day. Sponsors: Cord Müller at Tuchtfeld; Catharina, [Hans] Meyer's [wife?] of Halle; and Henning [Kuntz?] at Linse. Name: Gerd.

Notes

"Barthol" is clear; "Brandes" read twice; the centered name line "Gerd" read at the deepest zoom. The entry gives "Gerd" only; the second name "Harmen" of the 1687 marriage (F288) is not in it, and no sponsor is a Harmen. The only Gerd Brand baptism found at Halle 1646–1672 (1640–1645 absent from the volume as imaged). A groom of 26 in 1687 and a father of 49 in 1710. Grade: STATED (screen draft); PROBABLE that this child is Gerd Harmen Brand, George's 3x great-grandfather. Image check B3.21a-2.
