Translation (English)
[31. Halle, 5 November 1775:] [Christian Reiners, tobacco manufacturer, and Justine Friederike Meleking[?], a daughter (born 1 November, at 6 in the evening).] Sponsors: 1) Hans Jürgen Reiner, Kreipke; 2) the miller Heinrich Wäsemann, Linse; 3) Just Falke's wife, Linse; 4) Anton Reiners's wife, in Halle. Named Friderike Christiane.
Notes
The earliest register entry found so far for the miller at Linse: 21 months before the baptism of 20 August 1777 on file (Bild 65 no. 30). The title (der Müller), the village, the forename and the spelling Wäsemann match the 1777 entries; a Wasmann household also lived at Linse but is written Wasmann and carries no mill title. Grade: STATED for the entry (the parents and baptism date from the first zoom step); PROBABLE that the sponsor is the Mittelmühle miller Johann Heinrich Wesemann.
