English translation

Born 19 July, baptized 20 July [1782]: Johann Friedrich. Rosina [Margaretha] Gugler names a journeyman carpenter, Wilhelm Weiss from Württemberg, as the father; [the rest, about his not acknowledging it, is doubtful; see the protocol ("Vid. Prot.")]. Sponsors: Johannes [Vaiinger?], citizen and shoemaker of Ochsenburg; Friedrich Heinrich [..], single, of this place; Rosina, wife of Johann Georg Weiss, citizen and day laborer.

Notes. The entry says the mother "names" (gibt ... an) the man as father; the family register (F189) words it "angeblich". The later death note, 29 August 1830, agrees with the death register (F189). The relation of the sponsor Rosina, wife of Johann Georg Weiss, to the child is unknown. The marginal reference "Vid. Prot." and the lines below the entry were not legible at the highest zoom (WE3.6a, closed); the Ochsenburg Kirchenkonvent protocol is not on Archion (IDs 83487-83499 are church books). Grade: PROVEN as a record; the father as the mother's declaration only: STATED.

Conventions: [ ] editorial addition; [?] uncertain reading; [..] illegible or outside the crop; spelling and capitals follow the register; a reading from screen resolution is a draft until checked on the original.
