No. 18. Eva Barbara Schlötzer, wife of Master Blasius Schlötzer, citizen and brickmaker here, died of dropsy on 29 September at 7 in the morning and was buried on 1 October with a sermon, aged 42 years, 6 months and 1 day. Bequest 1 florin (6) [kreuzer].
Notes. Born about 28 March 1782 (computed). Her maiden name is not in the entry. Blasius remarried on 7 December 1824, about ten weeks after her burial (to Barbara Knoll). PROBABLE that she is the Eva Barbara, née G...in [doubtful] of Ober-Röslau [doubtful], mother of Johann Christoph Schlötzer (1815), and the only burial of a wife of Blasius in the index for 1805–1824; whether she was his first or second wife is open. Same page: no. 15, Maria Catharina Knollin (separate block); no. 16, Johann Peter Schlötzer, son of the glazier Johann Nikol Schlötzer (collateral). Image to save: Bild 99 (right page, nos. 15–18; the no. 18 crop) and Bild 100 (left page top).
