Plain reading
In June 1880 Frederick Bauer (born at Württemberg about 1847, in the milk business) lived in North Philadelphia with his wife Louisa (29, born Pennsylvania to Hesse-Cassel parents) and their children Frederick (7) and Annie (3). This is Frederick Bauer Jr. of Chapter 6 (born 16 January 1847 at Vaihingen, died 5 August 1923). His son Frederick, born about 1873, is the probable informant "Frederick W. Bauer" of 1409 Morris Building.
Notes
STATED for the 1880 household (read on the image: names, ages, birthplaces and the milk business). PROBABLE that this Frederick is Frederick Bauer Jr. of the 1923 certificate (age 33 in 1880 gives 1847; Württemberg birth agrees with Vaihingen; the online tree attaches the same record to Frederick Bauer 1847 to 1923, KKSR-P3K, a POSSIBLE tie only). POSSIBLE that the Frederick W. Bauer of 1920 and 1930 is his son (born about 1873 against "about 1873"; given name; the index also gives "Frederick W." and an online tree dates him 1872 to 1933). Conflicts: (1) Father's birthplace: the 1920 and 1930 index give Frederick W.'s father and mother as born in Pennsylvania; Frederick Jr. was born in Württemberg (1880, image) and his death certificate gives both his parents as born in Germany, so a son would have a German-born father. Either the 1920 and 1930 Frederick W. is a different man, or the enumerator's entry is wrong. (2) The 1880 enumerator wrote the surname "Bauer" in a hand that could be read "Bonr" or "Bouer"; the index reads "Bauer". (3) Louisa's parentage, Hesse-Cassel on both sides, is new; Chapter 6 records no wife for Frederick Jr.
