Translation (English)
[1771:] Linse, Wednesday 29 May. Master Johann Ludewig Knüll, at present tenant of his formerly paternal mill there, and Clare Gömann, a daughter (born Sunday 26 May, 6 in the evening). Sponsors: August Gabriel Knüll of [Eschershausen?]; Johann Heinrich Falke of Halle; the wife of Master Franz Conrad Dempewulff, the Mittelmüller, at Linse. Name: Johanne Christine Wilhelmine.
Notes
1771: the earliest entry read that calls Dempewulff the Mittelmüller (STATED); Johann Gevert Knüll had been buried on 10 April 1771, and his son is tenant of the upper (Knüll, Mast) mill seven weeks later, which Nagel held in November 1770 (the change PROBABLE between November 1770 and May 1771). 1774: the father's sister is Marie Louise Knüll, Conrad Brand's wife (married 1763), so the miller is the Mastmüller's son (STATED). The 1774 entry was on file only as an archived abstract. Grade: STATED.
