Translation

No. 2. On the 31st [month not read] [1737]: Joh[ann] Henr[ich] Jesemann, widower, and the relict (widow) of Henr[ich] Frid[rich] Heins of Osterode.

Notes

  • "viduus" is clear. The bride is named only as the widow of Henr. Frid. Heins; "aus Osterode" belongs to Heins and so to her.
  • Groom's surname: Jesemann. The capital is J and e written together, the same J this scribe uses in "Joh:" and "J. It was first read as a W, giving W[e]semann. Paul found the same name written by an earlier scribe. The letter close-up supplied for comparison shows the J-and-e capital running into the long s.
  • This entry (F16) was the first Salzderhelden lead, read Wesemann since 6 October 2026. Not a Wesemann entry. Moved to Appendix C with the rest of the Salzderhelden Jesemann family (Decided, Paul, 10 October 2026).

Conventions: text in square brackets is editorial. [?] marks an uncertain reading, […] an illegible or unread word. Spelling, abbreviation and capitalization follow the original.

Transcribed 9 October 2026; surname revised 10 October 2026. Readings in brackets are drafts to be confirmed on the original before they are cited as stated.
