Translation (English)

On 10 April [1731]: Johan Heinrich Wasman [the clerk writes the name twice: Wasman / Wesman?], former corporal in the [company?], who has settled at Dohnsen, and [is among the] invalids [of the domain?], with [..] Engel [..], daughter left by the late Heinrich Köstner [Köchner?], master smith (Groß-Schmied) at Halle.

Notes

PROBABLE that the groom is the "Johan Wasman, [..] Corporal" who stood godfather at Dohnsen on 27 June 1732 (390645, Bild 129) and the "Joh. Heinr. Wasmann, gewesener Corporal u. Einwohner in Johnsen" named as father of the hussar married at Halle in 1763 (390646, Bild 49), and so the father of the Johann Heinrich Waßmann buried at Halle in 1803 (F301 item 8). Not the miller's father: a Dohnsen soldier of the Halle Wasmann family (Closed Paths D8); Halle lay in Braunschweig, not Grubenhagen (H10). The clerk's double spelling Wasman / Wesman is noted for the spelling rule. Grade: STATED (the marriage; the doubtful words marked).
