Translation (English)
Groom: August Heinrich Bauer, born at Kirchbrak 1 June 1824, smallholder (Anbauer) at Halle, son of the late cottager and day labourer Friedrich Anton Bauer of Kirchbrak and his widow Luise Elisabeth [K]allm[eier?]. Bride: Hanne Justine Wilhelmine Brand, born 30 May 1831, of Halle, unmarried, daughter of the late cottager Friedrich Brand of Halle and the living Hanne Sch[r]ader[?]. Banns 30 March and 6 April at Halle and Kirchbrak; married 13 April 1856 at Halle.
Notes
Readings to check: the bride's mother's surname (Schrader, Schauder or Schröder; Schrader is a Halle-parish name) and the groom's mother's (Kallmeier?).
Not George's mother's family: her siblings were born at Linse to the Halbmeier Heinrich Christian Brand and Caroline Charlotte Sporleder. A Halle Brand household, key B-1. Untested thread: Friedrich Brand's forename matches Friedrich Wilhelm Brand, who married George's great-aunt Caroline Louise Wesemann in 1807; his baptism would settle it.
Grade: Stated (event). Cleared for the Linse Brand line; Appendix C.
