Bild 47 — Sterberegister (Deaths), Entry No. 3, Jahr 1858
*Landeskirchliches Archiv der Evang.-luth. Landeskirche Hannovers, Kirchenkreis Bodenwerder, Linse, Kirchenbuch 1854-1875, Bild 47, "IV.
25. Jan. 1820.
English translation: Waßmann [Wesemann], Caroline, legitimate, unmarried daughter of the late mill-master Ludwig Waßmann of Linse. Day and hour of death: the eighteenth of March, very early(?) in the morning. Day and manner of burial: the twenty-second of March, quietly (a plain burial). Causes and occasion of death: reportedly pulmonary consumption, [contracted in youth(?)]. Age of the deceased: born 25 January 1820.
Note: the original draft flagged this entry as low-confidence and, per its own summary, could only read "married [to] Ludwig Meyer" and a birth in the 1790s. Neither reading survives on file: Ludwig Waßmann is Caroline's father, not a husband, and she died unmarried. The prior transcription's birth date (25 Jan 1820) and cause of death are used here in place of the draft's low-confidence reading.
Kirchenbuch 1854–1875 — Bild 47 (Linse, Burial register, 1856–1859)
This register has no prior transcription in this project; the entry below was read directly from the archival scan. Only the entry involving the Wesemann/Wasmann surname is included. Uncertain readings are marked (?).
English
Correction on re-check: the hour previously transcribed as "[two(?)] o'clock" reads more clearly as "ganz früh" (very early), not a specific hour.
