Halle, 16 August [baptized]. A son of Johann Wasmann, night watchman and resident, and Marie Catharina Wollenweber. Born 12 August at 9 o'clock in the evening. Godparents: 1) Friderich Floto; 2) Daniel Faber, clerk/scribe at the [Thran? — an institution or place name, unclear]; 3) Friderike Prott, my [the officiant's] maidservant; 4) Justine Hundertmark.

Notes:

  • Nachtwächter — night watchman — is a specific, useful occupational detail. That's the father's trade, consistently now the same couple across five-plus entries: Johann Wasmann, night watchman, and Marie Catharina Wollenweber.
  • Godparent 3, Friderike Prott, is again described as ancilla mea — "my servant" — meaning she serves in the officiating clergyman's own household, same phrasing you saw with Justine Wasemann earlier. This looks like a running habit of this particular pastor: he regularly stood as one of the witnesses himself and brought his own household staff in as co-godparents. That's a useful pattern to recognize across this register — when you see "ancilla mea," it's identifying household staff of the priest, not a blood relation to the child.
  • The son's given name is cut off below this crop — worth grabbing the next line if you need it.
  • Note the surname Hundertmark reappears here (Justine Hundertmark) — you had a Jacob Hundertmark as a godparent in an earlier Wasmann entry too. Another recurring family in this same social circle around the Wasmanns.
