Match type: BRAND (baptismal witness)
German transcription: Vater: Ewers, Karl Heinrich, Halbmeier[?] zu [?]. Mutter: Meyer, geb. Luise Bartel[i]n[?], geboren zu Hagen den 22ten April 1825. [beiderseitig?] documentirt. Kind: Heinrich Ludwig Wilhelm[?], geboren [Datum unleserlich] Januar, getauft [22.?] Januar 1854. Taufzeugen: 1. Heinrich Reinbeck[?], Halbmeier und Gemeindevorsteher zu Linse. 2. Ludwig Brand, Vollmeier zu [Ort unleserlich]. 3. Evers, genannt Magnus[?], Groß-Köthner zu [Ort unleserlich].
English translation: Father: Ewers, Karl Heinrich, half-farmer (Halbmeier) at [place illegible]. Mother: Meyer, née Luise Bartel(i)n[?], born at Hagen on 22 April 1825. [Both parents'?] identities documented. Child: Heinrich Ludwig Wilhelm[?], born [date illegible] January, baptized [22nd?] January 1854. Baptismal witnesses: 1. Heinrich Reinbeck[?], half-farmer and village mayor (Gemeindevorsteher) at Linse. 2. Ludwig BRAND, full-farmer (Vollmeier) at [place illegible]. 3. Evers, called Magnus[?], large cottager (Großkötter) at [place illegible].
The witness list is confirmed: Reinbeck, Brand, and a third witness read as "Evers, genannt Magnus." The original draft read the mother's given names as "Amalie Auguste" and the third witness as "Ewers Meyer"; on closer inspection those readings do not hold up and are corrected above, though both remain uncertain at this resolution. The place names attached to witnesses 2 and 3 (draft guesses: "Halvestorf," "Kronien") are not legible enough to confirm or replace; they are left as illegible here rather than repeating an unconfirmed guess. This entry's principal family (Ewers/Meyer) is not a Wesemann-variant; Brand appears only as baptismal witness \#2.*
