English
32\. Johann Ernst Wesemann, band-miller here, and his wife Melusine Caroline, daughter of Beckmann, [had a daughter] born the 24th of August at four in the morning, baptized the 8th of September, named: Dorette Wilhelmine Ernestine. Godparents: Mr. Ernst [surname unclear], citizen and merchant here, and Justine [surname unclear], née [Endmann?], wife of the farmer Wilhelm [surname unclear] of [Arzen?].
Notes
> The child carries three forenames, all three underlined in the register: Dorette Wilhelmine Ernestine. An earlier reading gave only two. > > The godparents are a second best-effort reading, not a settled fix. An earlier pass read "Ernst Georg Sander" and a widow named Justine; the image reads more like a merchant named Ernst [?] and a Justine who is a farmer's wife.
