Translation

No. 23. On 17 April [1729]: Anna Maria. Father J. H. Jesemann. Mother Dorothea L[ü/in]demann. Godparents: 1. Peter Jesemann; 2. Conrad Brüggemann; 3. [not read]; 4. Moritz Bernd[t].

Notes

  • Date: 17 April 1729 was Easter Sunday (computed), which supports the month.
  • A small cross stands in the margin beside the child's name, probably a later death note.
  • Father's and godfather 1's surname: Jesemann. The capital is J and e written together, the same J this scribe uses in "Joh:" and "J. It was first read as a W, giving W[e]semann. Paul found the same name written by an earlier scribe.
  • Godparent 2 reads Brüggemann, not Brüning.
  • Not a Wesemann entry. Moved to Appendix C with the rest of the Salzderhelden Jesemann family (Decided, Paul, 10 October 2026).

Conventions: text in square brackets is editorial. [?] marks an uncertain reading, […] an illegible or unread word. Spelling, abbreviation and capitalization follow the original.
