Heading: "Wedding Anniversary." Subheading: "Rev. James Moore and Wife Entertain a Number of Friends."

"The parsonage of the Primitive Methodist church was the scene of a very enjoyable gathering last evening, the occasion being the celebration of the crystal wedding anniversary of Rev. James Moore, the pastor of the church, and his estimable wife. It was not until over thirty members of the church and friends called at the parsonage that the pastor and his wife had any idea of celebrating the event. It was a surprise to them, and a pleasant one, too, the visitors making several valuable and useful gifts. Refreshments were served and a pleasant evening spent. To-night all who participated in last night's gathering will assemble in the church and a flash light photograph will be taken by Photographer Dabb and presented to the pastor and his wife in commemoration of the anniversary."

"Among those who participated in the gathering last evening were Mr. and Mrs. Marshal Baugh, Mr. and Mrs. John Hoskins, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dabb, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Houser, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson White, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Edmundson, Mr. and Mrs. William Paico [?], Messrs. George Millichap, Edward Cooper, Edward James, Mrs. Thomas James, Mrs. Wm. H. Davis, Mrs. George Hares, Mrs. William Hall, Mrs. John Flock, Mrs. Frank Lewis, Mrs. George Broxton, Misses Nellie Baugh, Annie Timmons, Jennie Hares, Prescilla Davis, Hannah Collins, Minnie Dabb and Harriet Parrish."
