Reading (image, "Registers of Enlistments in the U.S. Army," 1869-1870, p. 83, line 757): "Reichert, Jacob F.," enlisted 9 [Sept. 1870] at "Philad[elphia], Pa.," enlisting officer "Hagen" [doubtful], born "Wurtemberg" [spelled Wurtemberg; country word not clear], age 21, occupation Machinist, complexion "Fair". The index gives birth 1849 and 9 September 1870.
