English translation

Born and baptized on 9 July [1791]: the twins (1) Christiana and (2) Catharina. Margin: died 1 December 1845. Parents: Johann Andreas Schmid, citizen and court smith here, and his wife Catharina, daughter of the late Mr Johann Ulrich Sautter, [deputy official] here. Sponsors: Johann Salomon Hess [?], schoolmaster here; Johann Georg Ritter, member of the court and [stonemason?] here; Anna Margaretha Heintz [?], widow, of this place; Catharina Barbara Ritter of this place, single.

Notes. Caroline Weiss's grandmother Catharina and her twin. The "† 1. The mother is written "Catharina", not "Eva Catharina"; her father's name and her husband agree with Eva Catharina Sautter (PROBABLE the same woman). Two further margin readings from the first version of 26 October, "† 8 Sept 1791" beside Christiana and "27 cop. 1817 [Haidle]" / "27 Oct. 18??" below the entry, are UNVERIFIED (not re-read on the image; findings Part 5) and are not used. Grade: STATED for the date, the twins and the father;
