Transcriber’s notes
Ruth has left the household (she married Nicholas Reitter Jr. on 27 July 1929). The children listed are Naomi (18), George Foster (16, entered as “George Jr”), Elmer F. (11), and Emma (6, born 25 November 1923).
George and both working children were not at work on the day before enumeration; the entries 16-3A, 17-3A, and 18-3A are line references to the unemployment schedule. This fits the family account that George was often out of work in the Depression and later lost the house.
His age at first marriage reads 33.
Mary’s father born in Pennsylvania and mother in Germany agree with 1920 on the father and correct “Prussia” to Germany for the mother.
