> No Wesemann, Waßemann or Wasmann line appears on this leaf; the family is indexed under W, at Bild 89 of this register, which is already transcribed in this project. > > The Brand block is dense — roughly twenty lines — and confirms the Brand family as one of the larger households in the Linse register across the whole 1815–1853 span. The given names are the least reliable part of this transcription; the hand is small and heavily abbreviated. Reference numbers are the usable part. > > No line on this leaf reads Hanne Caroline Wilhelmine Brand, the emigrant's mother, in full. The closest is "Brand, Hanne Caro[line] L." at references 4 and 142, which does not match her known name string and should not be assumed to be her without checking the referenced pages. > > Brünig appears almost as often as Brand. A Müller Heinr. Brünig stands godparent to Heinrich Christian Ludewig Wesemann at his 1805 baptism (Halle, Taufen und Beerdigungen 1800-1814, Bild 61), which makes this a surname worth following rather than background noise.
