Translation
No. 2. On 3 February [1723]: Joh[ann] Henr[ich] Jesemann, widower, [and] the maiden Doroth[ea] Elisabeth [surname].
Notes
- Groom's surname: Jesemann. The capital is J and e written together, the same J this scribe uses in "Joh:" and "J. It was first read as a W, giving W[e]semann. Paul found the same name written by an earlier scribe.
- "viduus" (widower) is clear. The two letters after it (V. H.?) are not expanded.
- Bride's surname: a looped capital crossed by the descender of "Jgfr." above, then letters ending -demann; on the 1727–1732 baptisms the same word begins with a clear L (Lüdemann or Lindemann).
- Not a Wesemann entry. Moved to Appendix C with the rest of the Salzderhelden Jesemann family (Decided, Paul, 10 October 2026).
Conventions: text in square brackets is editorial. [?] marks an uncertain reading, […] an illegible or unread word. Spelling, abbreviation and capitalization follow the original.
