Translation (English)

No. 3. Groom Heinrich Karl Wilhelm [surname unread], born at Westerbrak 16 October 1835, bachelor of Westerbrak, at present farm servant at Kemnade, legitimate son of Heinrich Karl Christian [surname unread], inhabitant of Westerbrak, and Johanne Christine Louise née Müller. Bride Karoline Wilhelmine Louise Werner, born at Pegestorf 11 May 1835 or 1845, formerly of Halle, now of Pegestorf, daughter of the late cottager and joiner Heinrich Christian Werner of Pegestorf and his likewise deceased wife Louise née Schrader. Banns at Halle and Kemnade; married in May in the church at Kirchbrak. The required certificates were produced.

Notes

This clerk's capital W ends in a tall, slanted third stroke that reads as a long ſ; the stroke sits directly after the W loop, before any minim, where Wesemann would put the ſ after the e. Assigned to the W, the rest reads e-r-n-e-r. The father's own death entry (D234: Werner, Heinrich Christian, Häusling und Tischler; wife Louise geb. Schrader) confirms Werner. The bride's three forenames are the 1840 daughter's in another order, but her mother (Schrader, not Brand), birth date and birthplace clear it. Pegestorf: P read from the interlined "zu Pegestorf" and the birthplace; probable.
