Translation
Hans Martens, journeyman smith[?], son of Conrad [Martens?], [and the maiden] Maria Eleonora Jesemann, third daughter of Peter Jesemann. [Five lines not read.] Proclaimed on the Sundays [ending with?] Quinquagesima and […], and married in the church on the Monday after.
Notes
- Year: Easter 1733 fell on 5 April, so Quinquagesima was 15 February 1733, the date pencilled above the word.
- "Peter J-/esemanns 3te Tochter": the bride is Peter Jesemann's third daughter. The capital is J and e written together, the same J this scribe uses in "Joh:" and "J. It was first read as a W, giving W[e]semann. Paul found the same name written by an earlier scribe.
- The groom's trade reads Schmiede-Geselle at screen zoom; five middle lines are not read.
- Not a Wesemann entry. Moved to Appendix C with the rest of the Salzderhelden Jesemann family (Decided, Paul, 10 October 2026).
Conventions: text in square brackets is editorial. [?] marks an uncertain reading, […] an illegible or unread word. Spelling, abbreviation and capitalization follow the original.
Transcribed 9 October 2026; surname revised 10 October 2026. Readings in brackets are drafts to be confirmed on the original before they are cited as stated.
