English
No. 7. Linse, 4 April. The honourable and manly Georg Andreas Meier, infantryman in the Electoral Infantry Regiment of Colonel von Koppelow, in Captain Heising's company, son left behind by the late Hans Heinrich Meier, former small-cottager (Kleinköther) in Buchhagen, as bridegroom, and the honourable and respectable Catharina Margarete née Borchers, widow left behind by the late Hans Hermann Wasmann, former small-cottager in Linse, as bride, after due proclamation of the banns twice.
Notes
> The hit is the bride's late first husband: Hans Hermann Wasmann, Kleinköther in Linse, dead by April 1769. A small-cottager, not a miller. On the occupational classifier this household is Chapter 10 material. > > His forename pairing — Hans Hermann — matches the Hanß Herman Wasmann of Dohnsen named as father of Anna Margarethe at Bild 111 of register 390645. Whether the Linse Kleinköther and the Dohnsen man are the same person is not established and should not be assumed on the forename alone. > > The bride's own maiden name is Borchers. Neither party's parents beyond those named are given.
