Translation (English)

Groom: Christoph Karl August Brand, born at Halle 1 July 1830, bachelor, Großköther, innkeeper and merchant at Halle, son of the late Großköther and innkeeper Konrad Brand of Halle and his late wife Henriette née Regenhard[t]. Bride: Dorothee Marie Luise Karoline Fr[ü]ck[?], unmarried, born at [?]ringen 17 August 1848, daughter of the late sexton (Küster) Karl Fr[ü]ck[?] of that place and Dorothee née [?]. Banns 2 and 9 August at Halle; married 13 August 1874 at Halle.

Notes

Correction to the earlier file: the groom is Christoph Karl August, not "Heinrich August" (the first name has the Kurrent Ch-r-i-s-t-o-ph shape, the second "Karl"); his father is Konrad Brand, innkeeper, not "Heinrich Brand"; born 1 July (not 19 July) 1830; the bride's forenames are Dorothee Marie Luise Karoline.

The mother's surname is Regenhard[t], written R-e-g-e-n-h-a-r-d with no doubt about the g. This settles the readings of 1856 (Bild 105) and 1865 (Bild 114): not Reinhardt.

The son of Conrad Brand the innkeeper and brother of the twins of 1833; Conrad Brand dead by August 1874. Household key B-2. Not George's mother's Linse family.

Readings to check: the bride's surname (Frück, or Funck) and birthplace ([D?]ringen); her mother's surname.

Grade: Stated. Cleared for the Linse Brand line; Appendix C.
