Transcript and translation

Uncertain readings are marked [?] or set in brackets; words that could not be read are marked as such. Each transcript is shown as written, with its transcriber’s notes.

Transcription (original language)

[17 Dec. 1808:] der gewesene Corporal Johann Christoph Sporleder, Alter 82 weniger einige Monate, an einer Brustkrankheit gestorben, begr. 23 Dec.

Translation (English)

[17 December 1808:] the former Corporal Johann Christoph Sporleder, aged 82 less a few months, died of a chest illness, buried 23 December.

Notes

The word before "Löbekamp" reads "Frau" at this zoom; the husband died in December 1808, so "Wittwe" is likely. The corporal (born about 1726) is PROBABLY the Corporal Christoph Sporleder of 1770–1778 (F408). None of these entries is the Altarist Hinrich Wilhelm's widow. Grade: STATED as read.
