Notes

> This is the earlier of the two confirmed Kirchbrak siblings: Wilhelmine Luise Karolina Wesemann, born 19/20 September 1840, two years after Georg Wilhelm Ehrenfried (1838). > > The godparents are the most significant genealogical content in this entry. Wilhelm Wasemann, a miller's journeyman — explicitly ‘aus Linse’ — and Heinrich Brand, a Großköther, also explicitly ‘in Linse,’ both name Linse directly. This is a firmer tie to the established family's home village than the parents' names alone, since it does not depend on any contested reading. Luise Wasemann, the third godparent, is identified as daughter of an innkeeper (Krüger) and farmer named Wilhelm Wasemann — not yet connected to any other individual in this project's records. > > The mother's age here (39 in 1840) does not reconcile cleanly with her stated age in the March 1842 entry below (32). Per the family's own history with this register, clerking errors of this kind are common in these records; treated here as a recording error rather than evidence against the identification. > > The marginal note referencing ‘No. 15’ has not been chased down; if that entry survives, it may bear on the age discrepancy or be a related record in its own right. > > Father's occupation here is given as Müllerpächter (mill lessee/tenant), distinct from Müllermeister (master miller) in the 1842 entry below — likely the same role described two different ways rather than a change of position in eighteen months. This Kirchbrak period now fits into an already-established later chapter of the family's history: by 1852, at his wife's death at Linse, Heinrich Christian Ludwig Wesemann is recorded as a cottager (Häusling), no longer milling. These two Kirchbrak baptisms fill in a previously unaccounted-for stretch between the Thran tenancy and that 1852 record: he was working as a miller at Kirchbrak in the early 1840s before eventually giving up milling and returning to Linse. The exact dates he left Thran and left Kirchbrak are still not pinned down.
