English translation: 10. Father: Waßmann (underlined in the original), Friedrich Wilhelm Conrad, cottager (Brinksitzer) and linen-weaver at Kemnade. Mother: Hanne Marie Luise, née Schünemann, born at Rühle on 18 March 1814. The names are properly documented. Birth: the third of April, three o’clock in the afternoon. Baptism: the twentieth of April. Child: (daughter) Luise Johanne Caroline Friederike. Godparents: 1. Heinrich Friedrich Anton Meinart[sen](?) of Rühle; 2. Caroline Wilhelmine Auguste Müll(?) of Hagendorf(?); 3. Johanne Sophie Caroline Warneke(?) of Kemnade. All still unmarried.

> Note: this is the second wife of the Brinksitzer Friedrich Wilhelm Conrad Waßmann, and the entry names her properly for the first time. The 1842 baptism at Bild 21 of the previous volume has her as geborene Scheunemann; Schünemann is the correct reading, written here with the u-bow and legible without doubt. Her birth at Rühle on 18 March 1814 is new, and godparent 1 is also of Rühle, so her family stayed in contact. > > Note: the first wife, née Ritter, last appears in March 1836. The second wife is in place by December 1842. Neither the first wife’s death nor the second marriage has been searched for; both should sit in the Kemnade registers between 1836 and 1842.
