Translation (English)
No. 11. Linse, 19 April [1764]. Jo. Christoph Brand and Anne Catharina Voigt [or Vogt], of Dielmissen, [had] a daughter [baptized]. Godparents: 1) Jo. Jürgen Meier, a tailor; 2) the wife of Ernst Christian Eickhoff, schoolmaster; 3) Ilse Marie Brand. She was named Johanne Marie Charlotte.
[Margin:] born 16 April, at 7 in the morning.
Notes
- The first known child of the couple, married 28 April 1763 (390646, Bild 49).
- The mother's surname here reads Voigt(s) or Vogt(s); the baptisms of 1766–1783 read Voges (Paul read Voges in the 1780 entry). One woman, spelling variants; the form is not settled.
- 'aus Dielmissen' is the first of three Dielmissen references (1764, 1769, 1775); the 1763 marriage says 'aus Siekwitte'.
- The name Johanne Marie recurs in 1778, so this child probably died before then (inference).
- Grade: Probable (identity); draft read.
