Confirmed negative for the surname. No entry on this page names Wesemann, Waßemann, Wasmann or any variant, in the parents’ columns or in the godparent column on the facing leaf. The read covered both leaves and every column. The page heading reads 1851 throughout, not 1850–1851.

English

Notes
- The value of this page to the project is the Halbrodt sighting and the negative. Friedrich Halbrodt, bachelor, of Linse, in 1851 continues the Halbrodt household in the village through the decade in which the Wesemanns lose the middle mill. He is styled Junggesell, with no milling title.
- By 1851 the Wesemann name has gone from the Linse baptismal register entirely. The household is still in the village, since two of the children die there in 1858 and 1861, but no child of the name is being baptized. That is a negative worth stating in the chapter rather than leaving implicit.
- Reading confidence. Halbrodt and the godparent list are read with confidence. The 1832 birth date inside entry 4 and the parents’ names are read at working confidence and should be verified before citation.
