1. Bild 6, Entry 16 — Baptism, born 29 September [1869], baptized 3 October [1869]
CORRECTED — the earlier draft treated this as a birth dated December 1842 with the father's surname as the only Wesemann element. The actual entry is a 1869 baptism; 1842 is a cross-reference date embedded in the entry, not its own date.
German
16\.
Waßemann.
Carl Wilhelm Christian, [Beruf unsicher — evtl. Handelsmann].
Tochter: Johanna Louise Friederike (geboren den 29. September [1869], nachmittags 8 Uhr abends; getauft den 3. October).
Pathen: 1. Wilhelm Waßemann. 2. Wilhelm Döring. 3. Louise Waßemann (vermutlich unverehelicht und in Hameln).
[Marginal note, elsewhere on the same leaf]: „...den 20. Dezember 1842…“ — apparently referencing the parents' own marriage or background; not a birth date for this child.

Waßemann.
Carl Wilhelm Christian, [occupation uncertain — possibly merchant/tradesman].
Daughter: Johanna Louise Friederike (born 29 September [1869], 8 p.m.; baptized 3 October).
Godparents: 1. Wilhelm Waßemann. 2. Wilhelm Döring. 3. Louise Waßemann (presumably unmarried, and of Hameln).
[Marginal note elsewhere on the same leaf]: “...20 December 1842...” — apparently referring to the parents' own marriage or background, not this child's birth date.
Notes
> Three Waßemann individuals appear in one entry: the father, Carl Wilhelm Christian Waßemann, and two godparents, Wilhelm Waßemann and Louise Waßemann. The note that Louise Waßemann was “presumably unmarried, and of Hameln” is worth flagging given this project's separate finding (NLA HA, Hann. 80 Hannover, Nr. 13997) that Johann Ernst Wesemann, the Linse miller's brother, had relocated to Hameln by the 1820s. No direct link is established here — the surname and the town are both common enough on their own — but it is a coincidence worth keeping in view rather than dismissing outright. > > This Carl Wilhelm Christian Waßemann is very likely the same man whose marriage appears at Bild 33, Entry 2, below (born 20 August 1843 at Baumgarten) and who reappears as a father again at Bild 30, Entry 18. > > No connection to either target sibling: neither the father's, mother's, nor child's names or dates correspond to Wilhelmine Dorothea Luise or Wilhelm Christian Ludewig Wesemann.
