Bild 129 (first entry) — 25 June 1732, Dohnsen

Baptism. Wasmann role: godmother (David’s daughter).

German

d\. 25 Jun. Hanß Curd Meüger(?) zu Dohnsen einen Sohn. Gevattern sind: Christoph Sporleder; it. David auß dem Schmiede zu Dohnsen; und Ihr[e] Maria Wasmans, David filia. Nomen: [Jo]h[an] Christoph.

English

On 25 June, to Hanß Curd Meüger(?) of Dohnsen, a son. Godparents: Christoph Sporleder; likewise David from the smithy at Dohnsen; and Maria Wasmann, David’s daughter. Name: Johann Christoph.

Notes

> David filia makes the relationship explicit: Maria Wasmann is David’s daughter, and David is at the smithy at Dohnsen. Combined with David Wasmanns Frau on Bild 93, this is one household across eight years. > > The smithy reference is the second occupational identification for a Wasmann in the batch, after the Halle tailor. Neither is a mill.
